One of the most useful minerals in steel making industry that Caspian Steel exports all around the world is Calcined Dolomite.
We source calcinated Dolomite from reliable mills in Iran that is produced from Dolomite stone by their continuous rotary or vertical furnaces. Considering Calcined Dolomite sensitivity against humidity and water adsorption, we design specific and customized packing which shall be suitable for international transportation by containers or bulk shipment.
We have shipped more than 50,000 tons Calcinated Dolomite to different countries like GCC countries, India, Turkey.
Calcinated Dolomite is produced by heating and calcination of Dolomite stone with a high content in calcium and magnesium carbonate Ca,Mg(CO3)2
In chemical industry, dolomite is used as a source of magnesia (MgO). Steel industry uses calcinated dolomite as a flux and sintering agent in processing steel melting furnaces – calcinated dolomite flux increases furnace refractory cover.
Caspian steel is sourcing form various mills in Iran depend on mill capability, location and client’s requirements to ensure suppling client’s desire quality and prices.
Calcinated Dolomite is usually packed in two-layer jumbo bags, each contains 800 to 1200 Kg which shall protect the products from humidity and water adsorption and shipped by 20 feet containers- each container usually carries 20 tons calcinated Dolomite.
